Accommodation & Food

Students will be accommodated  in rooms of 6 to 10 beds, sharing bathroom facilities with a few other rooms. Breakfasts are taken at the hostel, lunches are provided in the form of picnics and dinners are spent at Irish restaurants / fast-food outlets.

In order to offer the linguistic dimension, this stay does not provide traditional English language lessons in the classroom, but interactive workshops which will take place during cultural visits. These workshops are led by a qualified English teacher in the form of games and a workbook to fill out during the stay.

DAY 1: DUBLINFlight and check-in a youth hostel.

 

DAYS 2 AND 3: DUBLIN: 

Interactive workshop and treasure hunt in Dublin and its mythical districts. 

Interactive workshop at Trinity College, Ireland's oldest university and one of the most prestigious in the country, if not the world.  

 

DAY 4: DUBLIN – GALWAY: Travel by regional train or coach.

 

DAY 5 TO 6: GALWAY: Bike ride through the streets of Galway. 

Interactive workshop in the Aran Islands, the last land west of Europe before America. 

Interactive workshop at the Cliffs of Moher, the most beautiful cliffs in Ireland, stretching over 8km in length.

 

DAY 7: GALWAY – KILKENNY: Travel by regional train or coach.

 

DAY 8: KILKENNY:

Interactive workshop at Kilkenny Castle, one of the oldest in Ireland (over 800 years old), which has evolved from a Norman style to majestic Victorian architecture.

 

DAY 9: KILKENNY – DUBLIN:

Travel by regional train or coach.

 

DAYS 10 AND 11: DUBLIN:

Interactive workshop at Croke Park Stadium, Dublin's legendary stadium dedicated until recently to Gaelic sports. 

Interactive workshop at Dublinia, a museum dedicated to Viking and medieval traditions.

Interactive workshop at Dublin Castle, once the main residence of the vice king of Ireland, now used as barracks and an arts centre.

 

DAY 12: RETURN HOME
