Become a Host Family!

Do you enjoy looking after teenagers and meeting people from other countries and cultures? Are you able to offer a safe, caring and friendly environment in which to welcome our students? Then please read on to find out more about being a host family for our international students.

Anglophiles Academic Homestay Programmes take place mainly in July and August, but also in February, April and October, depending on where you live.

Students come to the UK to improve their English and learn about the English way of life. We offer a varied and interesting programme, which allows them to learn English in the morning and take part in activities, in and around the area, in the afternoons.

Students are occupied therefore Monday to Friday inclusive from 9am to between 4.30 and 5.30pm, except for the whole day excursion which may not end before 6.30pm.

Students spend the weekends with their host families, this is a chance for them to get to know you and to find out what it is really like to live in the UK.

Families receive a payment for looking after our students. It is also a wonderful experience, whether you have kids at home learning languages, you have an empty nest and have a bit of time to look after our youngsters or you are considering fostering and would like some experience. There are many many reasons to make hosting a valuable experience!
