Location

A mythical city, both modern and traditional in the UK, it's a capital that lives to the rhythm of British trends and exuberance. It's a city on the move, with something to marvel at on every street corner.

 

Accommodation & Food

Students will be accommodated in rooms of 6 to 10 beds, sharing bathroom facilities with a few other rooms. Breakfasts are taken at the hostel, lunches are provided in the form of picnics and dinners are spent at British restaurants / fast-food outlets.

In order to give the stay a linguistic dimension, this stay does not offer traditional classroom lessons, but interactive workshops which will take place during the cultural visits. These workshops are led by a qualified teacher, in English, in the form of games and a workbook to be completed throughout the stay.

Programme*:

Day 1: Arrival in London and check-in at the youth hostel.

 

Day 2: Interactive English workshop at BRITISH MUSEUM. Discover one of the world's greatest collections of treasures. Walk in Brick Lane.

 

Day  3: Interactive English workshop Museum of London on the history of the capital. Visit the Tate Modern. Walk around and admire some of the world's most famous contemporary art and go see Millennium Bridge.

 

Day 4: Interactive English workshop in Spitalfield Market headquarters of French protestant refugees in the 16th and 17th Century. Walk around Leicester Square and Picaddilly Circus.

 

Day  5: Interactive English workshop at Olympic Park and the iconic Orbit. Visit Tower of London and Queen’s Jewels.

 

Day 6: Interactive English workshop at Buckingham Palace : The Queen's Gallery and Royal Mews, to see the Queen’s art collection and carriage.

Visit the Science Museum and IMAX, one of the world's largest collections of objects, instruments and machines bearing witness to the Science of their time.

 

Day 7: Go on the “Double-decker Hop on, Hop off Tour Bus“. Interactive English workshop at Kensington Palace, home of several royal family members such as princess Diana. Visit the famous London Zoo, the world’s oldest scientific zoo.

 

Day 8: Interactive English workshop at St Paul's Cathedral and London Transport Museum about England’s transport history.

 

Day 9: Interactive English workshop in the famous Arsenal Emirates Stadium.

The London Bridge Experience, an interactive walk-through experience with live guides.

 

Day 10: Interactive English workshop at Victoria and Albert Museum, the world’s largest museum of applied arts, decorative arts and design. Walk and games at Hyde Park

 

Day 11: Interactive English workshop at South Bank, a dynamic area at the heart of London’s cultural scene. Have a last day to admire iconic landmarks such as Big Ben and London Eye.

 

Day 12: Return home.

 

 

 

Evening activities*:

Bowling, Sherlock Holmes « The Live escape », China Town and Ice skating, etc.
