Location

Nestled in the beautiful Wilshire countryside, Liddington is a friendly and exciting town perfect for outdoor fun and adventure. With wide open spaces, scenic views and plenty of fresh air, it’s a brilliant place for young people to explore, play and learn. Our Football Academy is designed for teenagers who are passionate about the game. With expert coaching, training sessions and fun matches, players develop their skills, build confidence and enjoy being part of a team, all in a safe and inspiring environment.

Accommodation & Food

Located on 61 hectares, this centre offers exceptional comfort and modern equipment for a unique educational experience for young people of all ages. The vast open-air spaces allow us to offer a full range of sporting and educational activities. Students are housed in rooms with 4 to 6 beds, each equipped with a private shower and toilet. Meals include English and continental breakfasts, as well as two hot meals per day, served in the centre's self-service restaurant. A packed lunch is provided on excursion days. 

21 hours of English lessons

Students are given an English language test on arrival and placed in English classes according to their language level. Average number of students per class is 15. Our teachers are all fully qualified. Many of our teachers have worked regularly on our past programmes. They work with great enthusiasm and energy to make their classes vibrant and enjoyable. Emphasis on spoken English and listening skills, including work on essential grammar and vocabulary. We aim to make students effective and confident in their everyday communication. All course materials are supplied.

FOOTBALL ACADEMY

Content: 6 half-days of 2.5 hours football sessions and 3 evenings of 1.5 hours of football sessions.

Technical-tactical exercises: Physical and mental preparation for match playing, individual and group skills, dribbling + passing + feinting + ball control + defence + attack tactics + heading the ball + penalty taking and much more.

Specific work by position: Attacker, midfielder, defender, goalkeeper.

Educational sessions: Presentation on body physiology and sports nutrition

On the first day, the students will receive a football shirt.

ACTIVITIES & EXCURSIONS

Apart from the football option, possible activities: Rappelling - Archery - Canoeing - Climbing - Fencing - Giant swing - Jacob's ladder - Orienteering - Raft construction - Trapeze - Zip line - etc.

Every evening our teams offer an entertainment programme made up of games, quizzes, movie night, talent show, treasure hunt, campfire, disco etc.

Students are supervised by our highly experienced team of English teachers and youth leaders working under the direction our Centre Director.
