Every student is accommodated in a host family. Families are chosen with care by our local organiser and consider the student as a member of their own family for the duration of their stay.
We cannot guarantee the presence of a British teenager in the family.
The student is fully integrated within the English High School System. The choice of the school is made by Anglophiles Academic according to the level and the capacities of the student. The participants join the most suitable class for their age and level of English, in agreement with the Director of the High School.
Introduction and welcome committee is organised upon the arrival.
Attendance and punctuality are imperative. Students have the same homework and are subject to the same examinations as their classmates.
High motivation and dedication at school/home is essential. A good level of English is essential to be able to follow all classes that will be given in English.
Some schools may require students to wear a compulsory school uniform.
After school time, the family integrates the student within their daily routine and organises some activities, day trips etc…This is a great opportunity for the student to put into practice the acquisition of key automatisms, vocabulary and expressions.
With the permission of the host family, the student will also have the opportunity to organise certain visits into town and to local sports centres, if they wish during their spare time. The host family must be informed where the student is at all times.
This programme is recommended to independent and motivated students. A good level of English is essential.
The minimum stay: 1 term (in general12 weeks generally).
The stay either has to start in September or at the beginning of January. It is possible to do 2 or 3 terms. Please note - that during the third term, especially in the final year, most of the students will have an extended home study period to prepare for their exams. During this period they’re are no lessons, nor during the exam period.
