Location

The programme takes place in Limassol, in the southwest part of the island of Cyprus. Limassol is a seaside holiday resort, very popular with British holiday makers because of the island's English heritage. English is the second official language spoken on the island.

Accommodation & Food

The students are accommodated in a lovely hotel, close to Limassol's beaches. The rooms are mini apartments with 2 or 3 bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom and a lounge. Each bedroom has 2 to 4 beds. Full board accommodation provided. The food is served on a self-service basis and is typical of a Mediterranean diet (grilled meats and fish, salads, fresh fruit and vegetables...).

21 hours of English language lessons

Lessons take place in a private institute that teaches English to Cypriot children during the school year. The school is brand new and offers very well-equipped air-conditioned classrooms. The teachers are all qualified. The average number of students per class is 15. Exam language test at the start of the course to assess the students' level before splitting them into classes. The method used is focussed on oral communication to encourage students to use what they have learned during the school year.

Due to the high temperatures in the summer, most afternoons will start with pool or beach activities and games. Sports and visits will complement the programme, such as: salsa, Zumba, aerobics, photo rally, singing, football, volleyball, walks, treasure hunt, visit to the old Limassol and the market, the marina, the castle.

Two full day excursions are organised during the stay, such as visit to the Troodos Mountains (waterfall, old villages...) and to Paphos (archaeological sites, boat trip..).

Evenings are dedicated to fun activities where everyone gets a chance to show their talents: fashion show, movie night, karaoke night, campfire, games night, just dance, disco etc.

Students are supervised by our highly experienced team of English teachers and youth leaders working under the supervision of our Centre Director.
