Location

Saint-Cyran-du-Jambot is positioned at the crossroads of Touraine and Berry, near the Brenne Regional Natural Park, offering access to three regions with distinct cultural and natural identities, allowing to explore a diverse array of landscapes, heritage, and unique traditions.

Accommodation

The holiday centre features modern classrooms, a variety of sports fields, and extensive outdoor areas for games and activities. Students are housed in rooms with 6 to 8 beds with bathrooms located on each floor. Continental breakfast and two hot meals per day are served in the self-service restaurant. A packed lunch is provided on excursion days.

English Classes

18 hours of English lessons

The lessons will be on each half day of 3 sessions of 60 minutes and 2 break of 15 minutes. The lessons can be in the morning or in the afternoon.

7 to 10 years old: The lessons will be taught through games to familiarise children with English.

11 to 14 years old: Students are given an English language test on arrival and placed in English classes according to their language level. Average number of students per class is 15. Our teachers are all fully qualified. Many of our teachers have worked regularly on our past programmes. They work with great enthusiasm and energy to make their classes vibrant and enjoyable. Emphasis on spoken English and listening skills, including work on essential grammar and vocabulary. We aim to make students effective and confident in their everyday communication. All course materials are supplied.

French Classes

15 hours of French language classes

Students are given a French language test on arrival and placed in French classes according to their language level.

An English village in the centre of St Cyran. Upon arrival, each children will receive a British passport and will choose an English name.The students are separated into 4 teams representing the 4 nations in the United Kingdom. During their stay the 4 teams will win points through games, challenges and their behaviour. In the village, their is a pub where children can buy sweets and drinks, the post office to buy post cards and the bank to put their pocket money. The official language is English and it will be used as often as possible.

Examples of evening games: quiz, disco, movie night, talent contest, thematic night, treasure hunt, campfire etc.

Students are supervised by our highly experienced team of English teachers and youth leaders working under the direction of our Centre Director.
